About Us

Sorenity Row was founded with the goal of bringing together Greeks who love to sing.  The group has grown to include members from twelve different Greek-lettered Organizations on Penn State's campus.

In January 2013, Caitlin Pezze, a sister of Phi Sigma Rho was inspired by the way Penn State's Greek Sing competition brought members of the Greek community together for a great cause.  She saw so much talent in the various acts and wanted to find an outlet for all of the hidden performers to sing together.  After meeting Mary Pendergast, the group's first musical director through a mutual friend, the two decided to run with the idea and create Penn State's first All Greek A Cappella group.  Later on, the pair joined forces with Blair Feldman, a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha, and Hallie Lutz, a sister of Kappa Alpha Theta, hosted auditions and became an official Penn State organization.

Since then, Sorenity Row focuses on using performance as a means of community service, performing at retirement homes and charity events.  The group also performs traditionally and  even opened a show for Penn State's Coda Conduct.
